We support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in a test environment prior to Go-Live. The purpose of this is to present the patient experience in a production-like environment for education, clinical validation, and sign-off.
During technical onboarding, a test environment is created which is utilized during testing calls. These calls serve to ensure that we are receiving all expected messages and data elements as a patient moves through various stages in several scenarios. We then use these messages to understand the triggers needed to progress patients through their visit in the application.
When testing requirements have been met on both sides, we move to production data in a production environment. At this point, we are validating our trigger configuration against real time production data that we are now receiving. We will make any adjustments needed to both environments based on what we are seeing in the data to ensure that what we present to patients reflects their actual experience in the ED.
Once this has been completed, we can then hold a UAT session to demonstrate this in real time. This will involve the following:
Scope of Testing
The scope will be determined prior to the session and a script will be generated to ensure this is met.
The purpose is to validate how patients progress through their visit; it is not an open feedback session on the application itself.
Scheduling
The testing will be completed on a call in real-time, so we will work to schedule this with the relevant folks.
Requirements
Patients must be registered in the test domain.
Patients must be registered with a surname of Zzztest in order to qualify for any SMS.
Feedback & Follow Ups
If any changes need to be made to the triggers that progress patients through the experience, these will be made following the testing session, and another call can be scheduled to review and sign-off.
Ongoing Testing Needs
Once we have gone live and the initial testing period is over, the test environment is usually disabled until it is needed again.
If a permanent test environment is required to support testing of new features or changes to your system, this can be supported.
To notify us of any changes or to request further testing, please inform your Client Success Manager or contact us at launch@vital.io.
