Where the name comes from
The attending clinician is read from the hospital feed. Where the feed carries the assignment, it appears here with the clinician's credentials. Where the feed does not, the section is absent rather than showing a placeholder.
Why it matters
Patients regularly cannot recall who treated them, and that gap surfaces later as confusion about instructions and as lower confidence in the care received. A visible name during the visit closes it. It is also the name a patient uses when they choose to recognise a care team member from Your Checklist.
Frequently asked questions
The attending clinician is missing or out of date. Why?
The app displays what the hospital record holds. A missing or stale name means the assignment has not reached the feed yet, or is not carried by the feed at that facility.
