Install Vital on your phone to open Care Team in its own window, with its own icon on your Home Screen or app drawer. An installed app opens faster and stays separate from your browser tabs.
Install on iOS
Install Vital from Safari. You need Safari to add Vital to your Home Screen.
Open Vital in Safari.
Select the Share icon, then select Add to Home Screen.
Select Add in the top-right corner.
Open Vital from your Home Screen.
Install on Android
Install Vital from Chrome. Chrome offers the Install app option in its menu.
Open Vital in Chrome.
Select the menu icon, then select Install app.
Select Install.
Open Vital from your app drawer or Home Screen.
Turn on alerts on your phone
After you open Vital from your Home Screen or app drawer, turn on alerts for this phone. Select Turn on in the banner on the Tasks page. You can also go to Settings > Notifications and turn on Push on this device. For more information, see Set Up Care Team Alerts on Your Device.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Vital open in my browser instead of the app?
You opened Vital from a browser tab. Open Vital from the icon you added to your Home Screen or app drawer instead.
Can I still use Vital in my browser?
Yes. The installed app and your browser both use your Vital account. Use whichever one you prefer.
Can I remove Vital from my phone?
Yes. Remove the icon as you would any other app on your phone. Removing the icon does not delete your Vital account.
