Web push notifications alert you when a task or request needs attention. Set them up to respond faster without keeping Vital open during your shift.
Turn on alerts
Select Turn on in the banner at the top of the Tasks page. You can also select Turn on here next to Push in the Notifications popover. When your browser asks for permission, select Allow.
Choose which alerts you receive
Go to Settings > Notifications to choose which alerts you receive. Turn on All my notifications, then turn on the toggle for your facility. Under My locations, select the locations you cover. Under My task types, select the task types you handle.
You can also open these settings from the Notifications popover on the Tasks page. Select Manage locations & task types to go to them.
A task assigned directly to you also triggers an alert.
Hear audible alerts
Audible alerts play a sound when an alert arrives. The sound follows your device settings. If alerts arrive silently, check these items:
Device volume is turned up.
Silent mode and Do Not Disturb are turned off.
Sound is allowed for Vital in your browser or device notification settings.
Turn off alerts
To stop alerts on this device, turn off Push on this device in Settings > Notifications. To stop alerts for all facilities, turn off All my notifications. Your selections are kept, so you can turn alerts back on without setting them up again.
