Reading the Overview Dashboard

How to read the Overview, what each card measures, and what the badges mean.

The Overview answers one question at a glance: are patients at this facility actually using Vital, and where is it falling short? It is the first screen in Vital Care Team, and it summarises the selected facilities and product over the chosen period.

The five Overview metric cards: Visits, Reachable, Overall Use, Logged In and Shared, with Optimal badges on the three that carry thresholds

Setting the scope

Select Facilities and Product above the cards, and the date range at the top right. Every number below responds to those three controls, so a figure that looks wrong is often a scope left over from a previous session.

What each card measures

Each metric appears as a card with its value. Three of the five carry a status badge, because only those three have agreed thresholds.

Metric

Measures

Badge

Visits

Patients seen in the period

No

Reachable

Share of visits where the patient was reachable via Vital

Yes

Overall Use

Share of reachable patients who engaged with any Vital link

Yes

Logged In

Share of reachable patients who logged in

Yes

Shared

Patients who shared their visit with someone

No

Visits and Shared are counts rather than rates, so each displays a number on its own.

Badge thresholds

The badge is a shortcut, not a judgement. It marks where the number sits against the thresholds Vital uses across every facility, so one site can be compared with another.

Reading the result

The three badged metrics sit in order, and the first one to fall is usually the one to fix.

A low Reachable means Vital could not contact the patient at all, which points at how mobile numbers are captured at registration rather than at anything inside the app. A healthy Reachable with a low Logged In means patients received the invite and did not act on it, which points at the invite itself or the login step.

The Overview stops at the headline. Engagement holds the funnel, the trend over time and the breakdown by facility.
